Yes, that was a thing that actually happened.

Yeah. If only Butcher would put more fucking and nekkid bitches in it. That way, HBO would be all over turning this into a series.

They could just have Lea running around naked. :D

HBO's response to that: "Needs MOAR dick-sucking sound effects!!!"

So I just finished it...

[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
I like how we're seeing characters come back. Not necessarily Harry, but Morty. Thought it was cool seeing the growth over the years.

I agree, I think we're going to see Harry... elsewhere for the next few books. Maybe the Never Never, maybe Demonreach, maybe somewhere Mab sends her new Winter Knight. But it's gonna be awhile before he's back in Chicago.

Speaking of which, don't think we'll see him as a P.I. for awhile. Not with him being "dead" in the eyes of the law and trapising around as the new Winter Knight.

Also think that we're not going to see the White Council for awhile and, when we do, they're not really going to like Harry's new job.

Well, remember, he's doing the Winter Knight gig on his terms. So, I doubt his style of operating will change. Even when he was dead, he was still basically working in a P.I. style, after all. Gathering clues, putting facts together; working the case, basically. I doubt he'll get much business from a mysterious blonde in red with legs to die for on a dark and stormy night. But I have the feeling he'll bring his same style of business to the position of the Winter Knight.

Yeah, I could see that. Maybe not a P.I. in name, but in spirit (heh.. like in this book)?

Oh yeah, my Dresden Files Casting Call:

Image

Jeffrey Donovan as Harry Dresden

Image

Elisabeth Rohm as Murphy

Image

Gabrielle Anwar as Susan Rodriguez

Image

James Marsters as Thomas Raith (of course, he'd work as Harry, too)

Really original casting, I know. 8) Only one I can picture for Michael is Captain America and as for McCoy... I can see him in my head, just can't place who I'm thinking of.

After Turn Coat I thought that Harry would use the PI from that book to do his leg work while he was busy doing other stuff.

After hearing the audio books I can't not picture Marsters as Thomas.

Michael is Dr. Death Steve Williams.

Anthony Hopkins as McCoy

I dunno. I don't know anything about Steve Williams, but I have a hard time associating "Dr. Death" with a kindly father figure.

Hopkins would work, but here's who I was picturing originally:

Peter Falk as McCoy

Too bad he's not around anymore. :(

I was gonna say Chris Hemsworth (James T. Kirk's daddy in the last movie) for Michael, but he might be kinda busy with Thor and the Avengers... ah, fuck it. If RDJ can headline two franchises (Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes), Hemsworth can co-star in this one.

Chris Hemsworth as Michael Carpenter

Yeah, I posted a pic of him unshaven and with short hair for a reason...
