And Bridge to Terabithia is pretty sad, even though it's a kids movie.

I haven't seen the movie, but I remember the book from when I was a kid, and being blindsided by it. Assuming they didn't mess with it too much, and the previews did make it look like they amped up the fantasy bits, I'm sure it's more than a little sad.

Dancer in the Dark and Fox and the Hound are the only two I can think of that gets me everytime.

I haven't seen Field of Dreams since I was a kid, but I'm pretty sure I didn't cry then, when it might have been excusable, because I was a kid and all.

That they do, I get sappy in the Patriot too, and it was pretty obvious what was coming there too.

Depressing as hell. The Green Mile gets me every time, and I'll admit that I cried at the ending of United 93.

United 93 was brutal. That got some tears flowing for me.

Something about that ending just hits me hard.

And I had at least one rolling tear the first time I saw The Green Mile. I think it's watching Barry Pepper cry. I don't know why, but seeing the sniper from Saving Private Ryan breaking down into tears chokes me up.

Although, I just don't get people who break down when he loses "Wilson" in Castaway.

It simultaneously and graphically conveys a desperate man losing the only thing in the world he cares about (the very thing that sustained his sanity), while also reflecting what a pitiful broken reality it is that the thing he cares so much about is an anthropomorphized rubber ball / silent imaginary friend.

Now, that's sad.

Dancer In the Dark is kind of manipulative, though. Yeah, I got choked up, but I give more credit to Bjork than to the Lars Von Trier's constant "I hate America" movies.
