So the Mrs. and myself have recently started Tivo'ing Craig Ferguson and last week, Karen Gillan was a guest (after just being a guest a few weeks earlier it seems) and on Wednesday, Matt Smith did a bit. Add in the ever present Tardis on his desk and there's more Doctor Who stuff on that one show than there is on the entirety of BBCA. :-D

It's on a bit later than usual in Britain - 7:10pm. In case you're watching it live over the internet or something.

Another excellent episode from the new series. I thought that the introduction of 'Mels' was a bit out of the blue (would have been so much cooler if she'd been introduced in an earlier episode) but other than that it was brilliant.

Really confused about the Silence now. So are the Silent not the Silence or are they just a part of it? :?

I think Doctor Who may be getting too confusing, especially for kids. This show is supposed to be all ages, but it's insanely complicated now. I enjoyed this week's episode more for the one-off ideas and funny lines rather than the over-arching plot, which is too much really.

LOVED this episode.

It was a bit telegraphed with the character reveal near the beginning.. I called it the second she drove up. But it was great.

The Silent are a race. The Silence is the movement.

There's nothing confusing about it.

I think there is. River Song's timeline especially is confusing. And then you've got the two Doctors running around, the whole Silent/Silence thing.

But then I think SHIELD is confusing, so I'm obviously a moron compared to you.

But what's confusing about any of that? River's timeline, especially, became much clearer with this episode.

I disagree, it's very convoluted.

Explain what is convoluted other than listing storypoints. What about them makes it convoluted? I really don't get it.

Too much time-travel!

I know that sounds ridiculous for Doctor Who, but I really think that the Melody/River thing is too much for the show, and even if you think it's been explained now, it hasn't. How did she get to New York in the first place as a little girl? Was she sent there? It didn't look like it. How did she get from there to Leadworth? How did her life as 'Melz' work, did she not have parents there?

My hope is that Amy and Rory rescue the baby Melody and stop all of this from happening, as not only is it too confusing, but I find it stupid that they're just willing to accept their baby being raised by an evil cult just because.

It all looks very clever, but to me it's a house of cards and I think it's too confusing for what should be a show that appeals to kids too.
