I can honestly say that it's be a while since something has had as much hype comicwise as the new 52.MY question is this with all of this traction will any of these books break sales records?

JL #1 will be the topselling book in 2011. Unfortunately, that's not saying much.
Other than that, nope. No sales records will be broken (unless we count digital sales, which once again isn't saying much).

Sales records for the last few years? Probably.
But X-Men #1 sold millions of copies. All of the new 52 together aren't going to do that.

I look forward to the inevitable when a year, maybe two from now DC's sales are back where they were prior to the reboot and they announce it was all a fun little experiment, and that all of this was just some elseworlds something or other.

Only because of the gouged prices. How do you guys stand this shit? Who has that kind of money to drop on comic books weekly?
WTF.

Although it would be nice to see it happen for the industry, I highly doubt any records will be broken.
Maybe if JL #1 had 52 different covers.
