I played both of the KoTOR games but I'm not playing this.

Not a fan of MMO's.

They fixed the testing page so I'll be downloading 38 GB overnight.

There is now a release date: Dec. 20.

I enjoyed my weekend of testing, but I wasn't overly impressed. Basically it's like KOTOR meets WoW and I kind of figured that's how it would end up. All the emphasis on "story" just ended up meaning that all the main quests are voice-acted. The most impressive thing was that the game was pretty stable for a pre-open-beta build.

you played Beta lucky jerk.

I stopped playing WoW to move to this game, and I loved KOTOR so I get the best of both worlds.

already pre-ordered my collectors edition, can't wait to play,

Reg. are you going Alliance or Sith?

I will make a Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper, but I'm sure I'll mess around on the Sith side a little bit.

I only got to test over Labor Day weekend, so I didn't make it out of the starting areas and had no reason to group. I'm anxious to see how group dynamics work out and if "dungeons" are similar to WoW.

did you watch any of the game play videos for the "Flashpoints" (what they call instances) looks pretty sweet.

I will be going Sith Bounty Hunter, but will also have a Jedi. but my main is a Bounty Hunter.
already found a guild to join, Infernal Empire.

I'll probably play it when it comes out. There's no way it'll be nearly as good as Galaxies was before the combat "upgrade".

So far this game is interesting. A lot more plot than I'm used to with WoW.

WoW was pretty dense if you read everything. TOR just puts it in your face with the voice acting. I'm testing again this weekend too.

If it ever goes free to play then yes.

Right now, it's in testing. So it's free to play if you want to try it.

WoW had a dense backstory that was not included in the quests. Most of them were kill X things or gather Y things but the justification for these quests was flimsy.

Which is the same thing you get in TOR. I'm not disparaging the game but with all the hype they floated around that it would be so heavily story-driven, I haven't seen anything above and beyond any other game besides the voice-acted quest givers.
