Heh, those first 2 pages were basically a big ‘fuck you’ from Bendis to those whiny internet trolls who can’t get over Wolverine and Spider-Man and others being Avengers. There’s no such thing as a ‘True Avenger’, if a writer has put you on the team, you’re an Avenger. And on the basis of this issue, I’m really looking forward to seeing Daredevil as one. He kicked ass in this issue, Mike Deodato’s pages were amazing, really dynamic and just fantastic to see DD back in the thick of things and being a hero. Bendis didn’t really write much dialogue for DD, but it’s really cool to have him writing the character again, and I’m looking forward to where he takes Matt. This was a top-quality issue, and one that should hopefully shut up some of the haters. Except if won’t, it will just make them even more angry, but you can’t help some people. For me, this issue sums up what the Avengers are all about.

Do people still bitch about Spider-Man and the Canadian Filicidinator being Avengers? \

So i'm reading this right now, and on the pages where Luke is sitting talking about Daredevil, i was totally taking out of the book, by how much Deodato drew Luke as LL Cool J

So, i have a question, are those descriptors before the word "spoilers" in these threads supposed to be funny?

It was an ok issue.

Who were they talking to the whole time though? That was kinda weird.

It's whoever's compiling the 'Oral History Of The Avengers'.

There were parts of this issue I loved and parts that I really didn't like. I enjoyed seeing Daredevil rescue Squirrel Girl and the Cage baby. The action sequences during thoise portions made this issue. I wasn't a fan of the oral history of the Avengers parts though.

This was GREAT. Possibly the best since the Daniel Acuna issue where Luke and Jessica go on a date/Power Woman gag. Loved it, and Loved Bendis' little fuck you to everyone who hates his teams. Best Avengers book going, bar none.

Avengers Academy laughs deeply and heartily at your ridiculous assertion.

Avengers Academy sucks. Any book with Hank The Wifebeater and Speedbump presented as "heroes" is a waste of paper.

As opposed to Felon Man, Jessica M. Bendis, Spider-Bitch and the Canadian Filicidicator?

(See, it's easy to make up stupid nicknames!)
