I'd question Jean being the 'true' catalyst, I think the massive fucking Sentinel and the debate about whether the kids should stay and fight was the true catalyst.

Jean was the cause of the fight, not the Schism.

I think their fight itself beats that by a mile. That was Alan Davis being allowed to go all-out drawing that fight.
