Read it. Loved it. The art was fine too except for a few little issues. Like Dick looks like he's the same age as Tim. Other than that I can't wait to review this.

For next week, I'm picking another DCnU book - Aquaman #1!

He'll be back, we know for a fact that he's buying all of the DC #1s, he has no excuse not to review.

Then I don't know what's up with him.

I just read this, it was pretty good, but nothing really stood out for me to make it more than your standard Batman story until the last page.

The last page is great. That's what makes it strong.

Introductory stories are hard. I thought Snyder did a good job of drawing us into this world, establishing the characters and the rogues gallery in a really efficient way, and then wowing us with a brutal mystery and an awesome cliffhanger.

I just felt it was a rather cliched 'introduction' issue, I mean, it's pretty obvious this new mayoral candidate has something to do with the mystery and is probably a new villain. It felt like a step backwards after what Morrison had been doing with Batman. I was well-written and well-drawn, but nothing amazing. But then these days of Tony Daniel and David Finch, a solid Batman story is better than nothing

I did like the art though, Capullo draws a kick-ass Batman.

Punchy, I think we have opposite tastes. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well, I really enjoy Snyder's Batman; you had a lukewarm response to the last book we reviewed of his and appear to have a similar lukewarm response to this one. I do not like the art by Capullo; you say that you like his Batman illustrations. I found Criminal #4 very disappointing; you thought it was a fairly strong issue.

My problems with Detective Comics #881 had nothing to with the quality, just that I hadn't read the rest of the arc.

Don't say that we're opposites based on 3 things!

But that's completely your fault for not reading a superb comic.
