The emperor's new groove didn't have songs, and that was pretty great.

Not you personally, but your people.

You see uncle Walt was a notorious bigot, and he knew only one way to keep folks of a darker persuasion out of the movie theatre and that was with white people music.

Even the black princess sung white people music.

You mean adults? Also, whitey music only got interesting after they stole black music and wondered if they could maybe throw a guitar riff over that bass line.

Also, Herald, I've seen only bits and pieces of Black Cauldron. They never ran it in local theaters when I was a kid, and on TV, they only ever showed isolated scenes from it. And by the time God invented VHS and DVDs, I had already lost my interest in it.

And I mean, when I was a kid, I liked shit like Jungle Book with all those songs and Robin Hood (I had the story record to both and enjoyed them as a child).

But I just can't sit through that shit anymore.

Yeah, it is -- as I described it on a certain site  -- the Red Headed Stepchild of the Disney Animated Canon. They studiously tried to ignore its existence, and it didn't get a VHS release until 1998. And of all the Disney theme parks, only Tokyo Disneyland has a ride that makes any reference to it.

Man, don't be proud!
It's OK!
You love this!

At least, out loud
You won't say
You love this!
