Stay away from the straight on frontal views. Too easy to spot errors. Dynamic poses are much more forgiving IMO.

the coloring on Superman is very nice. yes, Batman's quadriceps are inaccurate. stand in front of a full length mirror and look at your own legs. If not, look at photo reference or some anatomy books. its too distracting from your quality line work if your anatomy is too glaringly inaccurate.
