Thinking about it some more, it's hard to say that DC hates women. They love them. Because they know where they sell the most:

On their backs.

Where the majority of the reading demographic wish the characters would be IRL.

And when weirdo's like SDCC Batgirl comes out and fanboys literally blow loads in their pants over her arguments over at BC just because she's a female that fills out a Batgirl costume...well, it's hard to see why DC would ever contemplate easing out of the objectification of female superheroes as sex toys for their male counterparts. Or female (which we haven't seen yet but I bet we will to cater to the 20-40 male demographic).

And if these books become ratings smashes with at least one sex scene per arc....well, we'll know who was wrong

Replace Dan Didio with Rachel Maddow and all the progressive young wimmyn and the guys with ironic facial hair who chase them will all be happy. And probably still download all their comics for free anyway.
