Every director has something (that one thing that can work) or they wouldn't be doing what they are doing. A prime example would be that McG douche. Asshat produced the OC. Not good enough for you, try Supernatural... not good enough, how about Chuck. Even that talentless walking film studio blowjob machine Brett Ratner got people to watch that horrible show Prison Break.
You bitch and moan all you what (im guilty of shit like that too) but if it's a property I want to see I will give it a show no matter who that asshole directing, producing, writer is... well, except for Ratner, the guy sucks and so does Prison Break

Translation - "Fuck you! I like to poke my eyes with nasty shit! Fuck reality too!"

All those shows you mentioned except Supernatural.........never once watched any 'cause I could smell the shit amongst the roses.

Judging for yourself is cool, but you're bitching. Plus, there's no difference between TV and movies. The guy's a one trick pony or doesn't have it together, then tough. Maybe he could have made it work, but the odds were poor and you know it. Hell, you pointed it out.

Oh well, like Global Frequency, it's a dream for fans to see on the screen.

Chuck is decent but I attribute that to good writers and actors. That show works despite McG instead of because of him.

I bet Cassidy killed it.

They already have a new vampire show coming out. What are the odds they would produce a second show with a lead character who was a vampire?

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. Preacher is in my top 4 favorite comics ever and I was excited to see this. You can't make a movie over a story as epic as Preacher.

No difference between TV and movies? Maybe if you don't really look at all into what goes into one and compare it to the other. Doubtful still? Check out how many successful TV stars try making movies, and fail.

McG has made some real bombs. On the other hand, Supernatural and Chuck are some of my favorite shows. I really liked the Supernatural where they had a "McG" character/director for this fake movie that was being haunted. It was all kinds of awesome funny.

Just because someone's made something bad in the past doesn't mean they're incapable of making something good in the future. I think the entire process is more complex than that.

Preacher was mediocre anyway. Ennis is a hack.

To be fair, you're not really all that wrong. Ennis is a hack. Preacher is his best work and while i really enjoyed it, it's not perfect. The second half of the story, apart from the last book, is a bit weak compared to the first, especially 'Salvation'.
