If you're in the service industry, I think it's part of your responsibility as a service professional to expect abrasion and deal with it easily. ie not complain about it.

i was treated civilly at all the borders i ever went to. i don't think its a big deal to put out a humorous list of complaints when your company has tanked. fuck it, why not? i find doombug's statement particularly perplexing.

Which they did when they had jobs, but that's whoever-it-was' one chance to let out all their frustrations without any repercussions at all.

I'm pretty sure a right to complain about other people isn't limited to certain professions--because they're in the "service industry" as you put it, they deal with more nitwits than most and logically there would be lots of similar stories of frustration. People in the "service industry" have been getting together and commiserating about the dumb-ass public ever since there was a service industry.

That list really should only anger an overly entitled person

Exactly. This is pretty much par for the course for people who work in retail. Personally, I think this sign should have gone up before the store went out of business.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

Definitely while the people hunting for bargains were dumping stuff on the floor and digging around in it like the last few weeks.

Years ago there used to be a 'zine for submitting stories from the restaurant industry and I think it's still around in some form but I can't think of the name. There's probably a lot of similar online sites now. Just like people who work in offices can relate to the similar frustrating day-to-day occurrences and the seemingly-universal types of people who get on your nerves in that environment.

No huffy indignation from me, but some of those comments are catty.
I'd file those under the "we don't need to know this" category, as they should just complain to each other about that stuff like everyone does in their respective professions.

No, not at all! I still think it's funny, and the reactions are funny, and "it's mighty white of you" is funny to me on a couple levels too. :D

But imagine what they say at Starbucks about the big guy with a taste for the girly pumpkin-caramel lattes.

I hope they say "Thank you" because I'm not made of money. :-(

Oh, and it's pumpkin spice! Pumpkin caramel sounds too indulgent.
