Dammit, EA screwed up with online mode this year.

People have started to use the "Be a Goalkeeper" switch to command the AI to play the game for them and the AI absolutely smashes regular players when combined with the coordination of a guy that knows his shit.

It's basically like having command over a team of bots that are preprogrammed with the best timing and reflexes in the game.

Sold my Sergio Ramos for 45k, used the money to pick up another that someone for some reason put at "Buy for 21k"..currently holding onto that while I monitor card prices. Used the rest of the coins to finish my Midcard Man United team

There's a glitch where someone can take over your team by having a guest use a second controller of their system. The video was of the guy bashing his players taking out 4 of them with injuries and scoring own goal after own goal. EA is working to correct it but thankfully I haven't encountered it firsthand.

You on PS3 or 360?

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure I encountered a guy who's only in this to trade...he had an all-star team of Nasri, Drogba, Aguero, David Silva, Young, Evra, De Gea, both Toure's, Johnson etc...and he couldn't play if his life depended on it. Like making bad mistakes, not pressuring me at all etc.

Most of his defense was carried out by the AI-auto system to get in position and he just fed off that....

Nah it's kind of like those card based trading games where we buy and sell cards using game coins...trying to build a good team, finding bargains to flip for more coins etc. Difference with this game is, you use the cards & consumables you buy in order to play actual FIFA games on consoles rather than some fantasy turn based thing with them. It's addictive.

I think EA's Madden has an Ultimate Team mode too.

When I want to do manager stuff, I play Football Manager.
