It was awesome
Smith Westerns were solid playing, but you could hardly hear his vocals and they didnt interact with the crowd at all. I enjoyed their instrument work though
Alex Turner was rocking some sort of hipster Bruce Springsteen look with the shorter hair, skinny jeans and white tee
The place was a shit hole. Bathrooms disgusting, kinda small, hot as hell with only ceiling fans on, but A LOT of people showed up
I doubt I could remember or name all of the tunes. It was a decent selection of songs from the first two & most recent album. They only played two from Humbug, Pretty Visitors to open (which had a dude on a music box thing in a ninja mask playing some intro instrumental for Pretty Vistors, which was odd) and Crying Lightning on the encore
They played a new song called "The Evil Twin" Definitely something thats akin to their last two releases.
They avoided the slower songs or ballads almost completely. The only song they played which was slowed down was 'Suck It & See' Everything was high energy performances and I liked it
Wish they would have played 'A Certain Romance, Fake Tales of San Francisco, Perhaps Vampires Is A Bit Strong But...and Library Pictures' They just seemed like other high energy tunes they were playing
The crowd, including myself, was heavy into everything they played, lots of crowd surfing.
Alex talked to the crowd a lot and thanked Raleigh for cheering them, and commended 'the nice gents who lift the girls on their shoulders to see"
I fell down walking to the building, got one jeans leg all dirty, tore a hole in my ticket pick up sheet, cut my hand, and my elbow was bleeding. All from that fall. Fortunately, the only person that saw was my friend who giggled, and another guy who asked if I was hurt to which i replied "Only my pride." It was fucking worth it though
