if the cover is any indication to whats inside (which I know it rarely is) then Superboy's first "moral choice" appears to be killing Iron Man. A Marvel/DCnU crossover and the death or Iron Man in one issue! :smt026

I am all for making alien characters look and act alien...if they are new aliens that we are just being introduced too. I don't like the concept of taking a character that already exists and changing them into something unrecognizable though.

But in this reality - Maxima doesn't 'already' exist.

Besides, Maxima hasn't had a presence anywhere for years. Nothing to cry foul about here imo.

Believe me, I hear what you're saying. However, the problem that I have with this train of thought is that there are still fans of Maxima, the way that she was, out there. As I have stated before, for fans of characters like Wally West, Stephanie Brown, Donna Troy or any of the other DCU characters who have not appeared yet within the DCnU, there is still a glimmer of hope that somewhere down the line they will return. Fans of characters like Starfire or Maxima are left with these new versions of their favorite characters. Thats its. They don't get hope, they either get these new versions or they have to go back and read the old stories until that gets old.

This is one of the biggest problems that I have with the way that Flashpoint ended. I can understand how Barry messing with time can effect how people act. The circumstances of their lives have been altered giving them different experiences in life. I will even play along and say that since the "Crises" didn't happen, it makes sense that the DCU, Wildstorm, and Vertigo universes merged into one universe. What I don't understand is how Barry Allen messes with time and suddenly all of these aliens are fundamentally altered on a genetic level.

No, she's a villain, villains tend not to have fans, they just exist.

I'll go on record and gladly say I'm a Maxima fan. Was from her 1st app to the day she joined the Justice League to her return as a (kinda) baddie.

And I can understand having a problem with the mechanics behind this reality's genesis. I'm just not worrying about things like how King Shark is now a hammerhead instead of a great white, etc.
