I have not decided how the trade dress will factor into my review. Obviously, this is a pretty crucial part of the book and may be the deciding factor between giving it a 10 or a Punchy 7.

Comic was great, maybe even deserving of a Zero 8.

Last week was pretty fun, especially after Punchy's hilarious reaction to the USM beatdown.

I'll have a review for this on Friday but I have read it. I thought it was amazing
“Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly-up, disappears. It ceases to exist without me. No. You clearly don’t know who you’re talking to. So let me clue you in. I am not in danger Skyler I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No, I am the one who knocks!”

wow, I haven't read scalped yet today but I can't imagine it was anything but amazing. I read Hulk, I read this and they were both amazing. There was no real action to speak of in this issue and really that tells you how great Aaron is. The X-men are about action or at least they are if they aren't written by Claremont and well...good. I can't say enough good things about Aaron or the story. I am a fan of Bachalo....but I did not like his work in this issue. Certain scenes didn't follow like the coffee pot thing. Fortunately the story and the no clue direction way this book is going makes up for it. I can only hope they never let Aaron write Avengers or an event book beyond Schism because I don't know if I can handle Aarongate.

More thoughts later, but I didn't dislike it.

Lots of crazy ideas, good art, and a moderately fun attitude towards the whole situation. I still think the concept behind the book is a bit absurd, but I'm glad they address that in the first issue.

I skimmed through it at the shop and but it in my pull list. The art was gorgeous.
