Man, I'm so proud of the USA tonight. For all our faults, and they are many, I love this fucking country. God (or whoever) bless the USA!

nope, I felt the same way last night. For one brief shining moment I believed and I was proud again.

Then I got up this morning and got gas for the car. Reality check. :(

I was feeling this way last night too. Not b/c of the convention stuff on, but when I went with my step sons to their orientation for their new school grades, at the middle school they said the pledge before everything got started. Haven't been in that set up saying the pledge for a while, it was kinda awe inspiring hearing a little girl start it up and then thousands of people join in a few words into it. Just listening to the chorus of voices and looking around and seeing all the different people and families reciting the pledge gave me that feeling.

I've never felt otherwise.

Except when the Red Sox won the series, twice
