I know what you mean. After Sins Past, I was very sporadic on what Spidey titles I would read and then after One More Day, I dropped every Spidey title except for Ultimate Spider-Man. I picked up Amazing Spider-Man for Spider-Island on a whim and I am glad I did. It didn't completely repair the damage that I feel has been done to the character but it did renew my faith in the direction he is taking.
Now, as far as Point One
As much as I HATE this new Nova costume I am slightly indifferent about his arc in this comic. If it is Richard Rider, then he shouldn't have that much trouble fending off Terrax. I am intrigued by involving Nova with the return of the Phoenix but I need more information before I can really decide which side of the fence I am on.
I was not the biggest fan of the art in the Age of Apocalypse story but I am intrigued by the concept. Plus, AoA Sabretooth is on the cover to the first issue of the AoA ongoing so that will be a definite buy for me.
I will give the new Scarlet Spider a chance based on how much I enjoyed Spider-Island, the Point One arc was fun, and I really enjoyed the art.
I am going to pass on the twins story line because it never interested me enough to want more. I am just not interested in these twins or learning more about them or this Taiji Corporation.
The Dr. Strange arc was interesting and the art really drew me in. I wasn't planning on picking up the Defenders but now I want to at least pick up the first arc.
Finally, the Ultron story looks more like an issue of Ultimates then a 616 story but that has more to do with Hitch's art. I admit, with Acuna on art and Storm joining the team, I was not going to get the Avengers but I am very interested in what brings about this Ultron arc.
