I clicked on this thread, thinking, after seeing your name as the last post, "Nieto plays games?"

That article cracked me up.

He hasn't done a Modern Warfare 3 review yet but here's the next best thing and the first thing I thought of when reading that article...

My cousin's husband was one of the developer guys on this game. He and my cousin were in Vegas for the launch party this weekend and all kinds of silliness.

I still don't even know what the hell this thing is...

Had to post my epic fail from playing tonight.

I called in a helicopter, then launched a predator. Ended up boosting the pred to hit a guy and my helicopter flew into the path of my missile and I took out my own helicopter and wasted both killstreaks lol. If we hadn't been kicking so much butt all night I'd have been really pissed off.

I traded my copy of the game in once Skyrim came out.

Wasn't really feeling this edition at all. I don't know what it is, if it's that I was coming off Battlefield 3 or what.. which is odd, since I wasn't sold on BF3, either.. but this really, even moreso than past years, just felt like a glorified MW2 map pack.

Except all the maps suck.

It feels like every map is half the size of the usual COD map. It's so cramped.

I think I may end up picking Battlefield 3 back up now, and trying to get into that instead.

I want this, but I'm not in a hurry to get it. I also want Arkham City and Dark Souls.

"If I had a penny for every time I've spent the opening moments of a game sitting in the back of a transport vehicle listening to a soldier called Vasquez repeatedly use the word "motherfucker", I'd have enough money to buy the Sesame Street game instead. And even that probably starts with Sergeant Grover warning Private Elmo that "Shit is about to get real"."

"Well, for one thing, games are inherently wussy. The stereotype of the bespectacled dweeby gamer is an inaccurate cliche, but there's no denying games are far from a beefy pursuit. Which is why shooty-fighty games go out of their way to disguise that. Every pixel of Modern Warfare 3 oozes machismo. It's all chunky gunmetal, booming explosions and stubbly men blasting each other's legs off. Yet consider what genteel skills the game itself requires. To succeed, you need to be adept at aiming a notional cursor and timing a series of button-pushes. It's about precision and nimble fingers. Just like darning a sock in a hurry. Or creating tapestry against the clock."

love this game. well, that's not really hard to do, if they gave us new maps for mw2 I would have been happy.
Since there is no more shotguns for secondary, I'm just using the first machine pistol in akimbo. It's soo much fun just plowing down ememies since a lot of the maps are zigzagging narrow hallways.
whats guns do u guys use? i know the mk14 is really powerful but it's single fire. maybe modded controller?

With a quick trigger finger it can be deadlier and tons more accurate. It's what I did with the single fire assault rifles in MW2.

I'd be careful using mods now; they are actually following up on the reporting now and a ton of people have been banned. You can in game report people and they can actually go back and view games now.

I use the G36 a lot, I like the FAD too. I also use a sniper (most of them are good) and sometimes I run around with the striker and just tear people up. I have those akimbo secondaries as well, they work pretty well for mowing people down, but I seem to burn the ammo out quick if I don't run scavenger.

Mostly it depends on my connection to host. One day I'll run around beast against everything, I can kill anyone with any weapon; next day I can be shooting a guy in the back and be half way through a clip and he turns around and one shots me with any gun. It's very frustrating though having to deal with the laggy hit detection; I'm sure it is for the other team when I'm having a good game as well.
