To be honest, it could be a hype ploy. Can the show, let the public outrage grow, then build off that marketing to get a strong second season.

Chuck survived by shortening the seasons and getting hilariously blatant product placement from Subway last year. I do love that NBC is letting them finish up the show though.

It is probably my favorite show on tv right now.

It is too bad that it doesn't get higher ratings, but it is also up against Big Bang Theory, and I know several people who like this show, who choose not to watch it because they prefer BBT.
