Why not? Keep torturing Chap I'd say!

Well it's not as funny if half the posters don't know the joke. (Though apparently some of them do. )

And the new Legion series is starting to lose buyers...

09/2011: LoSH #1 -- 50,402 (+135.8%) [58,325]
10/2011: LoSH #2 -- 47,227 (- 6.3%)
-----------------
6 months: +101.7%
1 year : + 56.1%
5 years : + 13.7%

A modest second-issue drop. Particularly since Legion of Super-Heroes #1 is, pretty much, the only “New 52″ issue that makes no discernible effort whatsoever to be accessible to people who aren’t already following the series.

I don't call that an endorsement of the book there.

Legion Lost is losing buyers as well.

59 - LEGION LOST
09/2011: Legion Lost #1 -- 46,362 [54,588]
10/2011: Legion Lost #2 -- 42,650 (-8.0%)

Two spin-off titles with very small second-issue drops.

It is very sad to see that the Legion does not have the following that it once had. As a teenager, back in the day, I always looked forward to Legion stories.

What does the Legion need to boost it's sales?

I'd say better picks for artists (some more in the style of Grell, Swan, Forte, Cockrum, Lightle, or pre-Vacation Giffen), and a writer with a greater grasp of modern science fiction storytelling than Levitz. Plus less dependence on past continuity. More new villains and the like.

That and a greater sense of awe and wonder.

Things just keep getting worse for the latest series.

71 - THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES
11/2006: SLoSH #24 -- 33,985
11/2007: SLoSH #36 -- 26,814
11/2008: LoSH #48 -- 22,917
---------------------------------------
11/2010: LoSH #7 -- 26,439 (- 12.6%)
12/2010: LoSH #8 -- 25,063 (- 5.2%)
01/2011: LoSH #9 -- 24,230 (- 3.3%)
02/2011: LoSH #10 -- 23,738 (- 2.0%)
03/2011: LoSH #11 -- 23,667 (- 0.3%)
04/2011: LoSH #12 -- 23,419 (- 1.1%)
05/2011: LoSH #13 -- 23,105 (- 1.3%)
06/2011: LoSH #14 -- 22,600 (- 2.2%)
07/2011: LoSH #15 -- 21,788 (- 3.6%)
08/2011: LoSH #16 -- 21,373 (- 1.9%)
09/2011: LoSH #1 -- 50,402 (+135.8%) [58,325]
10/2011: LoSH #2 -- 47,227 (- 6.3%)
11/2011: LoSH #3 -- 34,979 (- 25.9%)
-----------------
6 months: + 48.1%
1 year : + 32.3%
5 years : + 2.9%

Declining swiftly now. It looks like the people who bought the first issue may have read it. For the sakes of DC and the whole comic-book direct market in America, let’s hold on tight and just hope this isn’t turning into some type of new trend.

Nearly a 26% drop. Not good, folks.

It is from a time where kids read comics, and they were the target demographic. Now the target is that same old boy, how has a work and money to spend in emnchandising. Get it back to kids, I don't know, perhaps a Tiny Legion.
To develop their conscience and consciousness, to make them aware of what is going on, to prepare the precarious ground for the future alternatives—this is our task: "our" not only as Marxists but as intellectuals, and that means all those who are still free and able to think by themselves and against indoctrination, communist as well as anticommunist.

Yet its probably not the only book doing that. I'd venture a guess and say outside of the top 15 dc books most have lost huge amounts of readers.

Since Tiny Titans is getting cancelled, I doubt that's going to happen.

And the Legion loses abother +/- 2,000 readers.

79 - THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES
01/2007: SLoSH #26 -- 32,342
01/2008: LoSH #38 -- 33,045
01/2009: LoSH #50 -- 22,327
---------------------------------------
01/2011: LoSH #9 -- 24,230 (- 3.3%)
02/2011: LoSH #10 -- 23,738 (- 2.0%)
03/2011: LoSH #11 -- 23,667 (- 0.3%)
04/2011: LoSH #12 -- 23,419 (- 1.1%)
05/2011: LoSH #13 -- 23,105 (- 1.3%)
06/2011: LoSH #14 -- 22,600 (- 2.2%)
07/2011: LoSH #15 -- 21,788 (- 3.6%)
08/2011: LoSH #16 -- 21,373 (- 1.9%)
09/2011: LoSH #1 -- 50,402 (+135.8%) [58,325]
10/2011: LoSH #2 -- 47,227 (- 6.3%)
11/2011: LoSH #3 -- 34,979 (- 25.9%)
12/2011: LoSH #4 -- 27,832 (- 20.4%)
01/2012: LoSH #5 -- 25,624 (- 7.9%)
-----------------
6 months: + 17.6%
1 year : + 5.8%
5 years : - 20.8%

The “New 52″ effect is just about gone, and the numbers keep slipping.

Giving the book to Levitz has been a disaster.

As long as it has the Legion on the title (or in the book), I'll buy it. ESPECIALLY if Levitz is writing it.

I'll buy it for no other reason then just to keep the title going which pisses off Nacireman.
