It's Andromeda under a different name.
Considering how Andromeda went, you say that as if it's a bad thing?

Sounds very similar from just that little bit of info. Maybe this is Hewitt-Wolfe's second chance...
That's what I'm thinking and I hope it's the case.

No, it's just funny as it's obvious that he's remaking or more so, making the Andromeda he wanted to make.
I'll watch it as I preferred his take then what we ultimately got.

Ah, OK then.

For me, I loved that he tried a hard SF approach for a change, compared to other shows, while still having a bit of a Trek feel to it. It gave us some more realistic human stories then Trek as it wasn't all pie in the sky. Add to that the greater attempt to use real science then not. It had awesome potential, but then Sorbo got his hands on it and we got a Saturday morning cartoon. Fun, but no way as enjoyable as what we could have had under Wolfe IMO.

UGH. I HOPE they don't do this. It's just rumors for now...
More Rumors About Star Trek XII Villains Give Minor Details on the Sequel Storyline Angle - Possible SpoilersThink McFly Think posted the following rumors about the possible Star Trek XII villains :
From what we've heard the Klingons play a prominent role in Star Trek 2. The angle, according to our sources, plays up them up as a Nomadic sect of warrior aliens causing trouble for the Federation - think an intergalactic Taliban with their home-planet overrun by Tribbles. Yes, those Tribbles, here in the newly rebooted continuity viewed as "furry carnivorous creatures." Oh, and no Khan. Thank God.
Though the no Khan is good news.

Tribbles?
I guess NuKlingons would have a strategic advantage in any fight, since their opponents would be laughing their asses off about what happened to Kronos.

Wonder if one of them will be stuck to William Shatner's head?
