It's the return of the Sinister Six! But what are the odds that most of these reviews will be about Spider-Man's marriage? Pretty high knowing this place.

Comics are to be scored on a scale from 1-10. 1 being suck, 10 being a damn good comic. Your review must be at least a paragraph to show you've put some effort in, but beyond that, there's no right or wrong, unless you disagree with me :P

Good lord that was awful.

I used to be a huge Dan Slott fan, I own a page of Arkham Asylum:Living Hell for fucks sake and She Hulk and The Thing are such great books...this on the other hand is a giant pile of shit drawn by a monkey...no wait that's an insult to monkeys. This book is drawn by a methed out tree sloth. I like that, Humberto Ramos=Methed out Tree Sloth.

So yeah this issue is a mess. Doc Ock looks like...I have no clue the Sinister 6 is not that interesting when it's not fighting Spider Man, something that doesn't happen at all in this issue. Mainly because Spider-Man isn't in the issue. Even the action didn't feel like action it was nothing but talking heads. This issue felt like an early Flash story by Johns, when Johns was good. Slott tries to make us care about the villains but it doesn't work as ensemble piece.

Yeah tired awful piece of shit comic.

Amazing Spider-Man #676

Lets get the bad stuff over with first...

The art is horrendous. I didn't care for Ramos way back in his Impulse days and his stuff is even harder to stomach today.

As for the story - it has merit, but character for character, I found myself rooting for the brain boys. Hell Wizard could have taken them all down if he was allowed to try. And that's where Slott went wrong. He didn't allow these characters to be themselves.

The Mad Thinker should have figured out the traitor thing much earlier than he did. And for him to to not see a kick in the balls from a powerless thug? That's not the Thinker.
Klaw? What the fuck would he be doing with this bunch? His limited sonic knowledge is easily surpassed by the others.
Red Ghost is a defensive player. One on one, he'll wait to strike, but for some reason he goes all gung ho on a what he knows are illusions :smt017

It would have been nice to get some info on everyone. Doc Ock looks nothing like Doc Ock. When did Awesome Andy switch sides? Is Sandman still evil or have the effects of the ID Machine worn off yet (he sounds like they have)?

In this issue, except for Marko, I never cared one whit for for any of these Sinister Sixers. I've always liked Doc Ock but I'm fine never seeing whatever the hell he is now. Rhino was better when he was dumb, etc.

I don't mind that Spidey isn't in the issue - but when I end up liking the villains that gets defeated over the spotlighted ones, something wrong.

Story - 5
Art - 1
Overall - 3

I respect your review Amoebas, but that wasn't really Klaw and he probably had the expertise for the cannon. Also, the "defensive player" thing makes no sense.

I actually really enjoyed this issue. It was a nice little oneshot story showing that the Sinister Six can work as a cohesive force and not the usual every man for himself thing.

Ock's deterioration doesn't bother me as this is a progression that's been going on for the last 100 issues or so. I personally thought his last look was really creepy. This new armor I can do without, but whatever. I liked Electro taking out the Mad Thinker. And I LOVED the Mysterio scene. Slot really gets Mysterio just like in the FF crossover.

The ending was a teaser for ASM 700. I would've preferred this to have been a FCBD issue.

The art sucked balls. Ramos makes Mysterio look like a penis with a half rolled condom on his head, or as Nacireman likes to call it, "first base."

Story: 7
Art: 2

I know Chameleon was acting as Klaw. My point is that Klaw isn't a big enough brain to have been in that group in the first place. Image:-D

Slott didn't add him to the group though. He was there from before.

Also, the guy is a physicist. :smt102

Without any back story, I had no idea this group even existed before this issue.

True.

Slott has a tendency to make his villains talk too much. It's something I've noticed throughout his run and it's pretty blatant here. Every character doesn't need to talk to every other character in every panel.
