Huh, I didn't know that Bill Mantlo wrote the series. He also created two of my faves Cloak & Dagger.
Shame to hear about his tragic car accident.

He was in a coma for quite some time. He's awake these days. But he apparently doesn't at all remember writing comics.

I recently re read all my Rom comics ( the complete collection) and I have to say, it held up pretty well.
That and Micronaughts ( another title that held up well) are two of the closest series to my heart.
