What I haven't gotten through these strips is why is he the Cynic? Does the name imply an attitude or a mode of operation? I get it in the broadest sense that he may be cynical about the word, but why choose it as a codename.

It's a big of both actually. Also his world view defined by the elements in his past which we've yet to reveal and the current state of society and the issues he's embedded in. Something is wrong and he knows it, everyone knows it, but he maybe the only one willing to show it for what it is.

IT just seems like you may be decompressing this a bit too much. In 3-4 strips, there's nothing much that gives us insight into his character other than he's a vigilante that doesn't do it for fame or... cosmetics?

He just seems like every other vigilante in comics ever. I think you have to be careful in trying to draw out certain aspects, because you really need to hook your viewer or reader first. WHat is it about your concept that's unique? Why should they keep reading?

That's kind of the issue here. I will probably check out some more strips, but it's encumbent on the creative team to give the reader a reason to continue checking out your product.

This whole generic vigilante thing may be part of that storyline, but as I said, be careful of running with a possible ruse for too long.

Jon, may I point out your constant use of archetypes based off or old 90's and rob liefeld books?

I'm not sure what that has to do with this.

If you're talking about Blud Blood, the whole point of that is that it is a parody of 90's era big gun big tits comics. ANd we haven't put out a comic, so how we use that archetype is neither here not there.

I'm talking about these pages and what you're trying to accomplish. Presenting a very generic archetype is a little dicey unless you give the reader something more and soon.

Well your comic is coming out soon, is it not?

I know this cause I'm publishing it.

And as I told you before tomorrow is another update. It says so in the the article. It's just with a different creative team. I think you're nitpicking.

You're publishing a strip we did, Just a Little Blud, which has nothing really to do with the comic character. Yeah, it's Blud Blood, but has little to do with the comic we are working on.

And if you think it's a nitpick, then c'est la vie. I'm giving you an honest critique based on work you're posting.

I think your blurb about this world you are creating sounds interesting, but we are given no glimpse of it. What is it that makes this comic universe different from the others out there? Perhaps a little intro into this universe may have been the way to go, rather than a character study into a vigilante that doesn't really give us much insight into what you're trying to do.

Or perhaps publishing the first arc all in one go may have been the way to go, rather than piecemeal.

These are suggestions as I try to figure out what it is I'm reading, and more importantly, why I should continue to check it out.

You need to fix the spelling of "residendts" in your promotional blurb you use every time. That signals an unprofessional product to me before I even get to the strip itself. You compound your mistakes by needlessly repeating them.

I appreciate the feedback, doc and appreciate your time spent reading our preview. I can see some of the merit in your points. We are currently striving to improve our product.
