So I got Arkham Asylum for Christmas

Postby Rockman » Mon Dec 26, 2011 5:20 pm

Maybe two years later than a lot of you folks, but I like it so far.

I played it two years ago, but didn't like it initially, but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. Really an awesome game. I should probably finish it this week, then I'll have to wait three months for the greatest hits version of arkham city.

I never played Arkham Asylum but I started playing Arkham City last week. I'm not a big Batman fan but that is a great game.

Loved City so much I bought Asylum. Finished it a week ago. While not as big as City, I still loved it.

It's way more focused and meanders a hell of a lot less than Arkham City. And Strange's plan for Arkham City was fucktarded. The best part of Arkham City was all the characters who showed up, both in the plot and as DLC. It's great to finally see the Asylum come to life right before your eyes, with all its secrets and residents and terrors. The whole idea behind Arkham City never started making sense, and if they were gonna try to raise the scale in the second game, I really would have preferred a recreation of Gotham instead of a small, walled off portion of the city, filled with the same three to seven bad guys recycled over and over.

Asylum is a really fun game, and then City really just builds on it and expands everything, making it all a lot bigger, while making the fighting and whatnot much better. Plus, the Riddler stuff in the sequel is just way more interesting and entertaining.

It's cool that Riddler is actually in this game as more than just a voice.

I own City but haven't played it yet. I beat Asylum a long time ago. I loved that game. I'm hoping City is just as good.
