I guess I just don't look at it as a good time nor interesting.

It's not something I would be likely to do, but I can't imagine why there would be such a negative response to it. It seems like a bunch of people trying to have fun.

i dont think its about people who NEED this to have a good time, but sometimes its fun to make people scratch their head, or whatever. Its just like how people like hidden camera shows, or prank shows or whatever. Sometimes its amusing to get people to do a double take and question what they just saw.

No it isn't.

Then you now understand why Punchy hates it.

Can't they have fun in a less twattish way?

Go play Xbox or read a book or get drunk, don't do the Thriller Dance in the middle of the street like a dick.

sure it is. You can't possibly say you've never laughed at someone pranking someone else, or a hidden camera show, or a comedian like Remi Gillard. If its in good fun and no one is hurt, it can be very funny. Hell, most comedy is built around slapstick and mishaps and mischief and misdirection.

but its not twattish. its a social activity, its a way for people to get together in the name of silliness and mess with people in a lighthearted way.

But how is doing a dance in a public place funny?

It isn't, it's idiotic.

I know you think everyone should be free to do what they want, like cosplay or flashmob, but the fact is, some things are fucking shit, and shouldn't be done.

I'm cool with people doing whatever they want to have a good time. But like Punchy says, when it inconveniences others, it becomes a bother.

Plus, when you act a fool in public, be prepared to be treated like a fool. That doesn't just apply to flashmobs, of course, but it certainly does apply to flashmobs.

It was interesting for about 10 minutes when it was a new concept, since then it has become a ridiculous cliche

I just dislike organised 'fun'.

Plus, it gets in the way of other people who are just trying to get on with their lives. But if they complain about the fucking 50-person cha-cha-slide that's made them late for their train home, they're just a grumpy bastard who hates fun aren't they? No they're normal, if you want to dance, go to a club, don't take up public space with your idiocy.

It's just a twattish thing to do.

agreed.
