High concept, well executed, good read.

Scalped Volume 8: You Gotta Sin to Get Saved

Jason Aaron is great.

Thor by Walter Simonson Omnibus

Damn near too heavy to read. If I get through an issue a day, I guess I'll be done with this by Summer.

You need muscles my friend, so keep reading it.

Moon Knight by Bendis and Maleev Volume 1

Enjoyed more than I was expecting.

Morning Glories Volume 2

Oh, snap! I forgot how good this was.

PUNISHERMAX Volume 1: Kingpin

Technically good, but mostly felt like a rehash of the last time I read a Kingpin origin just with a little saggy boob thrown in for shock.

PunisherMAX is amazing, one of the best comics out there.

Based on the first volume, that's a sad commentary on the state of mainstream comics.

John Snow doesn't like anything mainstream. Not enough hipster cred with those books.

Although, personally.. I think I may like Rucka's 616 Punisher more.

I don't think Steve Dillon fits Aaron's writing. At all. That's the only negative thing I can think of for PunisherMAX, but I can't really think of anything bad about Rucka's book right now.

It's impossible to have read v8 of Scalped one day and v1 of PUNISHERMAX the next and not realize that Aaron completely phoned in the Punisher book.

Werd. That or I just get bored with the repetitiveness of the same characters doing the same things all the time.

Its not weird at all. Creator owned books are, usually, way better than anything Big 2.

This volume is not bad. Better than the previous one, but only because it reprints "Forever Yesterday" a story that I wanted to re-read in a long, long time. And, while it isn't awesome, it left me happy for reading it again.

I think my New Warriors retreading ends with this volume.
