More cosmic madness from everyone’s favourite gang of weirdoes. I don’t really feel that the over-arching plot is clear yet, but Fraction has managed to pack each issue so far with enough cool little bits that it’s very enjoyable. I really like the bottom of the page captions a lot, they alternately make me laugh or make me think, what was the one about Caesar and Hannibal and Da Vinci? Was Fraction making fun of SHIELD? If so, good, if not, what the hell was it? Prester John is kind of a weird villain, but Fraction had fun with his insane ramblings, and I really like how this book is approaching Doctor Strange from a completely different angle from any other comic, he is a kind of creepy guy when you think about it. This book is not quite the sum of it’s parts yet, but it’s getting there.

I thought the Dodsons art was great, they have been stuck over with the x-books and I don't read em so it's a joy to see them draw the silly animal/human whatevers getting beat down by Iron Fist and crew.
I want to know what Dr. Strange said to Betty.

Yep. There's nothing 'fun' about "Crossbones! Wolverine! Fear Itself: The Fearless #7!".. it's just annoying, and serves no purpose other than to be douchey.

i agree with Punchy. i fucking LOVE those captions. of course, i grew up reading comics in the late 70s/80s when there was no internet, all my comics were bought at drug stores, grocery stores, or Waldenbooks, etc and had no Previews, etc., so shit like the Bullpen Bulletins page and monthly Mighty Marvel Checklist were the only way to know what was going on in other books at the time so that i might want to pick them up.

it doesn't hurt anything to add back those "in other issues" captions, it adds a nice homage to a time back when comics were fun and bombastic (which Fraction, good for him, seems to be trying to bring to this book), if you don't fucking like them don't fucking read them, etc etc.
