Interesting. What size do you work at?
I've worked at large as 18x24 to 11x17, pro boards, and 9x12, then half of 8.5 x 11. I'm always changing it up...comics are too fun not to!
I have a comic I need to do to wrap up our anthology that's what? 4 years in the making now? I'm not settled on what size I'm going to draw it at though. I sorta want to return to pen and ink or crowquill and a light table...but because of time restaints I might just have to bite the bullet and use ink pens. So that means...do I go with the 9x12 or go big or go home!
I have to say that I usually work in a page that has the same size of an actual comic book. That doesn't allow me to have highly detailed lines but it saves time after all.
4 years in the making? I'm sure it'll be great, let me know when you it's ready. Last year I was using pens but I got bored too quickly, the line is always the same and there's no fun in that. No I use nibs and ink, and sometimes a brush depending on what I'm trying to do.
I'll post more art next time.
