Also The Word is one of the funniest bits I've ever seen.

Colbert is probably the funniest guy on TV.

I don't even know what Harvey Birdman is. I don't really watch Comedy Central, hell I don't know if I even have it. :smt102

Holy shit. Jon Oliver just trashed this liberal newspaper columnist tonight.

Wow that was impressive and hilarious.

If Daily Show hasn't aired where you are, make sure you watch the second segment tonight.

If Colbert does run, even 5% could hurt Paul, Huntsman and maybe even Romney if it's a tight race.

Most of the people voting for him will be Democrats voting in a Republican race

I don't think you can vote in GOP primary in SC if you aren't a Republican can you?

I tried to vote in the GOP primary last election so I would say no.

It is different for each state. I can vote in either if i want. You just have to say you are Republican if you want to vote in other States.

I said it but they said that stealing Nixon's corpse doesn't count. Dead Nixon does work in the carpool lane though.

You have to be a registered Republican. These polls also contact only registered Republicans. So it stand to reason that these are Republicans in these polls. Paul would probably take the hit since Colbert appeals to young voters like Paul.

Right. And since there is no Democratic race, many voters are registering to vote in a popular liberal.

On tonight's show Colbert gave his Super Pac to John Stewart. Can't wait to see the adds that come out... If he doesn't just pocket the money

Maybe but the polls were conducted with registered Republicans before Colbert announced so they couldn't have known.

It seems telling to me that roughly 3 out of the 4 people in this thread saying Colbert isn't funny wouldn't really know what funny was if it hit them in the face.

Colbert is funny when he's not promoting an obnoxious agenda. The show where he had radiohead on was funny. His interview questions were great. When the point of his "jokes" is to teach you a lesson, it just comes off as preachy and annoying.
