My favorite Hickman work is/was The Nightly News, personally. With Pax Romana right behind it.

Someday Hickman's gonna have to come up with something worthy of being placed up there with Nightly News & Pax Romana, though, rather than more books like Red Wing that aren't.

This is brilliant, I've always loved the webcomic and this collection of them is awesome.

Image

Yeah, fine. Good single issue stories with the art being the main draw and the big overall plot being the least of the book's strengths.

This was great, thank god I have the second to jump right into.

Nice, better than a lot of recent Fables has been.

Oh yeah and I also started on this bad boy:

As far as his creator-owned? Yeah, I agree.

But I think he's doing something really special with his Fantastic Four run right now.

But have read good things about Pax Romana. Maybe I should give that one a try.

I haven't read Pax Romana, but I've heard lots of people talking about it.

Really enjoyed it. Tried reading this about a year ago but stopped for some reason in the 2nd issue. Still massively dense and very strong stuff. I can see more re-reading being very crucial to pick up on a lot of nuances. There's a lot of stuff I felt I missed the first time I tried reading this.
