Am I the only person reading this mini? Is the specter of Cry for Justice that much taint James Robinson's work? Because he's knocking this mini out of the park even if he's had to include concepts of the NuDC.

Trade-waiting. I tore through all six STARMAN omnibuses this summer.

Really excited for this but I can't handle small increments.

You trade wait you kill this book. DC might be on the verge of slicing the twelve issues away if this continues to not sell. Besides this is DC. Trade waiting means you have to wait till Fall of 2012 for vol. 1 of this. BUY THIS BOOK!

Yeah I know you're one of the few who's also been keeping up with this. I can't believe people aren't buying this though. The only thing I can think of is people don't know what they're missing. I mean the twist of the hero at the end. Okay I didn't see that coming but it was a nice twist.

As soon as I heard that this book was confirmed to be part of DCnU's second wave, I put it on my pull list and I have not been disappointed. As a hero/anti-hero, the Shade is one of the most complex and fascinating characters that either of the big 2 are publishing. It is an absolute shame that more people are not reading this series.

Zechs, I absolutely loved the twist with the last member of the Shade's team at the end. It's the type of outside thinking that made Robinson's run on Starman one of the greatest comic runs of all time. Robinson just gets Opal City and her citizens.

Yeah he's the most fascinating and his continued history keeps getting more interesting.

I still got a feeling we might get a small cameo. But the thing is if James shows Jack than it throws whatever Courtney is at though. If she still exists or not in this new DCU.

"JUSTICE!" Robinson will NEVER see a dime of my money EVER again.
I don't care what ego-laden pet project he manages to write.
His work deserves to fail.

More the pity on you, then. Shade is Robinson's best work since Starman. Superman didn't come close. And Cry for Justice was a good premise, but bad execution.

If you liked Starman, you WILL regret missing out on Shade. And everyone here will rip up your picture.

Even Starlord will rip up his picture. He'll weep over the shreds, but he will move on.
