That's different, the kind of stuff in this issue was rarely used before Scott Pilgrim.

I don't know why you guys have such an issue with this, it's sad really.

what kind of stuff are you talking about? good guys squared off/lined up against bad guys with some kind of caption saying "vs." and "fight!"???

fucking Captain Carrot used to do that. comics used that exact trick all the time back in the 70s, 80s, 90s...if anything, video games borrowed that convention from comics, not vice versa.

I don't have a problem with something bringing Scott Pilgrim to your mind. what i have a problem with is you acting like SP is the innovator and the instigator of something that it clearly didn't "pioneer". comics did exist before your precious little hipster doofus book came out, hard to believe as that may be for you.
