Why doesn't Marvel do issues like this any more?
This was one of the funniest comics. Almost all one panel gags or one page gags with a couple longer gags.

Even back then Wolverine appears to be showing up in two places at the same time...

They release them in batches- though I don't think they ever sell well. With the economy and the cost of comics nowadays, fans are less likely to buy something that doesn't "matter".

I know but the humor one What Ifs were so good. Both issue 34s.

They've done the humor collections about as frequently the last few years- usually tying into/making fun of the event.

I just picked up a bunch of ones from the second series for $0.25 each.

I should've picked up the last issue out of the quarter bin but I decided instead to tell the shop owner that that issue shouldn't be in a quarter bin.

"What the..?" was pretty funny, but only for a few issues, then they ran out of ideas. Doing a yearly humor issue seems to work best for them. My guess is they don't do it anymore because of Deadpool.

I have that original one. God it is great. If you can ever read it, do so.
What if . . . .Daredevil were deaf instead of blind? so he proceeds to beat a confession of a guy, but keeps beating him because he can't hear the confession.
What if . . . . .Tony Stark had an eating problem instead of a drinking problem? Well he couldn't fit into the armor without some major modifications, that's for sure.
