Twigg is once again ahead of the curve, just like he was on Green Lantern. His prescience with respect to cinema knows no bounds!

Exactly, Doombug asked me for proof about 4 minutes after that article went live. I get the feeling he hasn't looked around the website properly if he can only find two stories.

Sure, but I do think there may be a budgetary concern, hence the need for a couple "depowered" members. Not necessarily a bad thing either.

I dunno.. considering the money they're likely paying ScarJo and Renner, I don't think it's a budget thing.

I mean, they could've just cast lesser known actors, and gone with powered characters if they wanted to...

I don't know how much they're getting paid for this, but I would imagine it offsets any savings they would make on CGI effects. :smt102

All the arrows in the movie (maybe not that one since it's a closeup, who knows) will be CGI. They've said as much.

You're turning into Jericho with these "inside sources" and "rumors"..

Except they would have cast people that were recognizable and had to do effects if they went the other route.

I think saving costs, giving some non-powered folks that could be the stand-ins for the audience, connected some SHIELD agent types, their personality types, and a bunch of other things all factored into why they used them.

Says who? I mean, shit.. Chris Hemsworth was an unknown, and they cast him in his own movie before even doing Avengers.

I like how it's gone from performance posting, to performance art. It really really gives a good perspective on what I do.

Renner isn't a household name yet, and ScarJo isn't a star that commands a huge salary or has a history of leading huge movies or anything. Her biggest non-Iron Man 2 movies are We Bought a Zoo and He's Just Not That Into You. As the lead star, or one of the leads, her movies tend to be stuff like the Woody Allen movies or Lost In Translation or other indy type stuff that generally tops out below $50 million. Sure she's well known, but she's probably not horribly expensive. Meanwhile Renner is mostly in supporting roles and got this before MI3 and things like this are what are propelling him to stardom.

I think they would have definitely gone with people of that level for Hank and Jan.
