reignite interest into the Hulk film franchise?
There are still a couple of stories I'd like to see from the character. I though Incredible Hulk was a great film and that it only underperformed because people saw that awful Ang Lee version and lost faith in the franchise.

I hope so.
I loved Incredible Hulk almost as much as Iron Man 1.

It had the better climax for sure.
Overall I think the film was as strong, but Bruce Banner isn't as interesting a character as TOny Stark so without that strong lead character I think it had an uphill battle.
But they teased Dr. Samson and the Leader, both of which I'd like to see.

I'd be down for another Hulk movie if it had an entire team of Marvel scientists/brainy types, like Pym, Samson, Project Pegasus, Cho, Thinker, etc.

I would love to see another Hulk movie.
It will not happen.

I could see it working if Hulk goes rogue in Avengers 2, leading to the creation of the Hulkbusters (in Stark tech) and the Vault (chock full o' Guardsmen to contain him when they discover they can't kill him).

I never want to see an Avengers movie where the Hulk is the villain.

What, no Freddie Prinze, Jr. dating Betty Ross?

Maybe they'd have more luck if they varied the formula and had a Hulk with some intelligence.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

Have you seen the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon? The Hulk in that cartoon isn't intelligent, but isn't a childish beast, either. He's kind of surly and simple. I wonder if that's the route they'll go for the movie.

No, that's Super Hero Squad.

Both are awesome, but totally different (approach and intended audience/age group).
Here's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (s1 is available on Netflix Instant):

The Avengers cartoon is pretty much perfect.
Hulk on there is pretty much the perfect take on the character (assuming you don't want a lot of Banner due to time constraints).
I would be very happy to see that kind of Hulk in this movie.
Hulk not as a villain, but in a misunderstanding with the heroes going after him for some reason, would be badass and I'd be more than happy if that happened here or in a future movie.
