...and it had to be about superheroes.

What would be your pitch?

Remember, this has to be a Friends/3's Company/Seinfeld/Big Bang Theory kind of show. So that basically means one main reoccuring location and not so much on the action.

What cha got?

I'd do Power Pack in that I, Carly-Disney kid style show.

For an adult sitcom though... still not sure.

I'd set it at the headquarters of a Superhero team. Avengers's Mansion or Avenger's Tower or Baxter Building. That kind of thing. It's where the Superheroes would hang out between missions. I'd have one of the characters missing from each episode on a rotating basis. They're out fighting crime or something. That would give members of the ensemble cast a chance to interact with each other. Other than that I'd make it so it's several different personalities that don't get along with each other but have to stay together because they are a team.

Guy's Bar as the central location on a JLI type show would be great.

A show focused on the Legion of Substitute Heroes, basically Mystery Men the TV show, but set in the current day instead of the future, could also be fun.

The Bad Guys

It would be a sitcom about a bunch of third-stringer villains competing in a reality show to get a full pardon. As bad guys go, they are pretty much the type of guys whose idea of truly evil crime is turning a bank's cash into sticks of chewing gum, or controlling all of the city's houseplants to create a plant army. A couple are just wrong place, wrong time types, who maybe got their powers and the first thing they tried to do was rob a bank where America's man superhero team does their checking.

The reality challenges they have to face are basically heroic tasks mediated by a different guest hero each week. Basically, the idea is that these heroic challenges will prove their ability and willingness to reform and re-enter society as a productive cape. The heroes are all iconic figures, but are often just as absurd as the villains.

It all takes place in The Lair, which is a vast complex twenty floors below sea-level, outfitted with surplus alien holographic technology like the X-Men's danger room.

Most of the show would take place behind the scenes, like Big Brother After Dark.

I dunno, somewhere like STAR Labs I guess. The best idea is a bar for superheroes, but that's already been done.

Something like Archenemies.

You've got this "evil" mad scientist and this Captain America like hero.

But the hero is kinda douchey (locking his roommate out, eating his food, etc) and the scientist isn't really that bad (he just wants respect from his crime lord dad).

They don't know that they're roommates.

Maybe a workplace sitcom about the people who work on the floors below the FF in the Baxter Building, how do they deal with their accountancy firm being sent to the Negative Zone?
