No this isn't just normal 90s bastardized. This is Frankenstein's monster from the 90s bastardized. This is wrong. This book should not exist. It looks just awful.

It truly is stunning how bad this is. And how they managed to make Fairchild's old costumes look conservative in comparison.

I never thought Fairchild's old costumes were that great. They're like SPiderman level next to that thing on the cover.

For a moment there I though this was a new Marvel X-title.

Wait, the red furry guy is Beast Boy? As in Garfield Logan, or a new one?

Given the whole story of The Red, I think I can accept the color change, there's a certain logic there.

Why do they keep recycling that concept? It's not that great of a superhero name to begin with, the powers are pretty boring, it has little cultural cache with most current fans, and those it does impact are holding onto something from three decades ago and don't really want a new version.
