Remender/Hardman
Best team. And best first impression.

I liked the Brubaker/Deodato issues best.
Spencer was too tied in to Fear Itself
Ellis was only there for six issues with too many artists.
I like Remender but I'd rather he stuck with Zircher instead of going with Hardman, plus with Cap off the team and Hawkeye and Cap Britain on, the only character on the team I care about seems to be Beast (and Venom when he joins in the next issue).

I've only read two of them, and Brubaker was miles ahead of Spencer, which says a lot because Brubaker's run was only above average.

I just find it funny that a book that's not two years old already has had 4 creative team turnovers.

I just wanted to see if anyone's thoughts have changed or if folks who missed out last go-round want to contribute now.
Maybe it's just me, but I can not get into the current run. Thor and Miss Marvel and Captain Marvel fighting in space is NOT "Secret Avengers"!

Isn't the current stuff AvX tie-in?

All pretty bad from what little I've read of them. Each writer has tried a different direction for the book and it's telling that none of them have struck a chord with many readers, especially Ed Brubaker's "what the hell am I doing on this book?!" run. Definitely a comic book that has suffered from having no clear direction and the teams having no strong reason for existing.

agreed. This is a book that until recently I kept asking myself why I was buying it.

This book has gone from bad to worse with each new team.

With the exception of Brubaker, I agree.

Brubakers run was so-so and I never really liked anything after that.
This series always felt like it never knew what it wanted to be.
