Well, it's kinda hard to justify getting more Marvel when almost all of their interesting concepts can't fulfill order prerequisites, which indirectly leads to their movie and project characters getting overexposed. From there, you have a feeling of staleness, due to the atrophying effect that takes place.
The DC Universe has a different set of issues (The great majority of DC's characters are probably the least engaging as I've ever seen them, along with the storytelling in a majority of books seems infected with craft of the lowest common denominator), but they're at least using a wider range of characters and concepts, giving themselves much more potential to become gold if the right creative teams are allowed to engineer storylines that can grow into something amazing, which puts them lightyears ahead of current Marvel long term.
As for Vertigo, to say I'm fucking excited is an understatement. I never miss an Issue #1 of their output simply due to the fact that it was their output that got me back into comics in the first place, but each of these comics sounds really good and I hope I keep following all 4 of them for as long as they're published.
