Justice League, Action Comics, Superman, Supergirl, Legion of Super-Heroes, Legion Lost, LoSH Origins, Batwoman and whatever makes noise around here. Barely reading them, mostly just skimming out of curiosity or to see the artwork.

I keep forgetting to look at the Jack Kirby titles.

So in other words DC is slowly killing your passion for comic books. I think it's about time to try new stuff.

Anyone in here ever purchased a comic that came with a code for a digital copy of it? I got Avenging Spider-Man #1 and it's cool to read something that I own on multiple platforms, without doubling down. My only wish is that the codes themselves would have a longer lifespan (only good for 1 year).

No, Marvel did that along with every other publisher including DC by giving me unoriginal poorly thought out crap. That and the price tags, lack of availability over time plus the amount of space they take up in my home.

DC's reboot is not doing it for me the same way many haven't. They toss too much away for me. That or in the case of Batman, nothing changes. It's a mixed bag but in the end when all they can manage is make me curious for all of three issues or less, then they fail. In 1986 DC revamped the continuity and it was fun getting to "explore" it and see what was different... which was not much and what was (Superman and Wonder Woman) were okay. Now we get a poorly thought out radical change while attempting to balance it with what was apparently working ie - Batman and Green Lantern and Flash to some degree. Woopee-dii-doo. What they're giving me is crap. They want to pander to just "new readers", they that's all they'll get.

It's called a torrent file and download.

In one of my classes today, I had to listen to a group talk about T.S. Elliot's "The Wasteland". Their presentation dealt with such things as sex, rape and violence within a section of the poem. Normally, I wouldn't type about something like this....except that my teacher brought her daughter into class. Her daughter appeared to be around 6 or 7 and was working on some puzzles during class. So, she spent her time doing puzzles and listening to others make references to rape. Before I left, I heard my teacher ask her daughter, "Did you learn anything, today?" :smt090

COIE was really good, and after it you have very interesting titles. Now trying to change continuity once again feels like a cheap trick. It has been used a few times and it doesn't impress me or you.

You should read the comics I write, perhaps you'll recover from so many disappointments...

It's a poor move on their part. With COIE it was bringing everything in under one roof and tweaking the continuity to make it work while fixing up Superman and Wonder Woman. Later the powers that be messed it up with more changes being placed at bad points in time.

If DC had gone with a Young Justice (tv) like new universe with all the characters getting a revamp of sorts, it would have been better. IMO.

Sure, she learned how to avoid getting raped by staying the hell away from poets and students.
