I don't think the X-Men as a whole are outmatched. First off they have about a dozen telepaths. With that alone, they shouldn't really ever lose, if you think about it.

Then on top of that they have all kinds of random people like Magneto, Juggernaut/Colossus, Kid Gladiator and an army of two hundred mutants. Plus, possibly a Phoenix.

they actually don't have an army of 200 anymore. with the schism, the majority of the kids went to Westchester, and Wolverine is adamant about the children NOT fighting, so you can count out Kid Gladiator, Quentin Quire, Genesis.

more than likely Wolverine's kids will do the exact same thing they do whenever something happens, and that is go to the safe room, so they don't have to fight.

So I read previews from the A vs X Program Guide that was given away for free today.

Looks good so far.

The Avengers part was Cap and Stark telling the president that the Phoenix was coming. Then Cap went to talk to Wolverine to ask him if he can count on him.

The second part was Magnetoclops looking forward to the Phoenix coming and wanting to train Hope to be it's host so she would have the power to set things right. Even Magneto tells Scott that he is sounding like him.

How can anyone not think that Cyclops is turning villain? He is pinning mutantkind's future on someone controlling the Phoenix WHICH KILLED HIS WIFE! He's risking everything and making god-like decisions for the earth. Add to that the part where he wouldn't let Hope go stop a bank robbery and he has become a complete tool.

I think his motivation is a bit lame, but whatever.

Seeing this preview also makes me wish that X-Sanction didnt exist. Stories with destiny and future visions usually ruin other stories and from what we see, what Cable is trying to stop is what the Avengers want, which makes it look like Cyclops is right, despite being fucking stupid.

Anyway, I'm still very excited about this, but I really hope the Avengers destroy the X-Men.

Right? I don't know, this feels like a book that I'll be picking up on an issue by issue basis. I doubt I'll have a complete run at the end.
