The problem with "Shocking Moments" is that they are usually spoiled in the solicits so that when they happen there's no surprise anymore. I mean look at Infinite Crisis. It should have been shocking that Superman, Lois, Alexander, and Superboy Prime were back but it wasnt. Between covers, solicits, and news sites there's really no way to surprise anyone.
