Schooling My Mom On The Internets

So I e-mailed my mom the other night and included the words LOL. Now, since my mom is old I figured she wouldn't know what that meant so I added "For those who aren't internet savy that means laugh out loud".

She responded by telling me that savy is spelled with two Vs and that I should really learn English before schooling anyone in internet abbreviations.

I retorted that her response earned her an introduction to another internet expression: grammar nazis.

If she comes back with anything about Godwin's law I'm surrendering. :oops: :lol:

A guy very high up in my company thought LOL stood for "Laugh On-Line" until like a year ago.
