Today is the passing of Dwayne McDuffie :cry: .

I thought the same thing. My son needs to do a small write up for Black History Month and I offered up Dwayne as option. When I looked up some info on him it indicated he passed away on 2/21/2011.

Still seems surreal. I remember him doing all this writing all over the board, transitioning to DC Animated them bam the announcement of his passing hit.

seems so strange, and also kind of eery that Justice League Doom (his last work) is out next week

I made a Remembrance thread over at CBR.

I always go through like a period where I just gather all the works I have of his and just read them them. Lots of great stuff, favorites being his Deathlok, Icon, and Static. Also had a lot of fun with his F4 run.

It's kind of eerie because I was just watching Justice League Doom the other night which ends with an "in remembrance" to him.

It was certainly better then Crisis on Two Earths which IIRC was also his work.
