its that you're ignoring everything I'm saying and just repeating yourself that makes no sense to me.

I'm not ignoring anything.
I'm just not agreeing with you.
And statements like "But, im sure you won't accept anything but 'You are right and I am wrong'. So there you go." don't help.

As Rob said, it's easy to say that "Geoff wrote his Teen Titans well!" when you weren't previously familiar with the characters.
Well, I was previously familiar with them, and I resent what I find to be ridiculous changes to them.

opinions are like buttholes, everyone has them and they usually stink. Except for Herald's because he bleaches.

I have an irrational loathing of X-Men. I have even avoided the movies.

it goes beyond simply "not agreeing", it goes to the point where you feel like youre "proving facts", thats when it gets weird.

Anyways, i look forward to telling you that your opinion on any modern Batman story is "wrong" because you didn't read Detective Comics #27, and that any characterization that doesn't have Batman using guns is wrong, and anyone that likes a non-gun using Bats just doesn't get it . After all, you would need to have read that before any Batman story to have an informed opinion.

I disagree. I can't accept something that sets out to systematically warp characters beyond all recognition from the very start. Especially in Superboy's case, when it's based on personal fanwank that was previously demonstrated to be not only false, but IMPOSSIBLE.

What you can accept and what's good aren't mutually exclusive.

For most people that were brought back to DC by Identity Crisis this was a non-issue.

Avengers has been pretty terrible, to be honest. Some cool moments here and there, but as a whole? Not to my liking..

What's so odd about the Avengers run is that if it were done in a different way, it would have been awesome. For example, I've always enjoyed the idea of Storm joining the Avengers, as a way to promote mutant rights in mainstream 616, but it's looking like she is going to be a very missed opportunity. I like that so many 'forgotten' heroes (Spider-Woman, Luke Cage) and unlikely heroes (Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Daredevil) have joined the Avengers, but it's all for naught. The Avengers have no character development to really speak of. Eh.

I think X-men had more going for it in the past decade than the Avengers. I liked the move to San Francisco, and fortified their mutant stance on things. I kinda dug Fraction's run.

X-Factor has been great. I even like the New Mutants. X-Force (both Yost/Kyle and the current book) are phenomenal. At least X-men has other books that are solid. The Avengers, with the exception of Avengers Academy and the Avengers Crusade, just don't benefit from that.

And for the record, Geoff John's Teen Titans was a very fun read. I loved his Titans Tomorrow storyline.
Do you know what the most frightening thing in the world is?

To me xmen didn't take a step back until marvel opted to put the focus on the avengers.

"What's good" is an opinion that varies from person to person.
One of the elements that makes that variance happen??
How much each person knows about pertinent previous material.

For most people that were brought back to DC by Identity Crisis this was a non-issue.

Case in point.

More people who weren't familiar with the characters beforehand, and thus eagerly accepted that bastardization of the characters. Thank you for providing another example for me.
