Jude Terror has next week's pick

Comics are to be scored on a scale from 1-10. 1 being suck, 10 being a damn good comic. Your review must be at least a paragraph to show you've put some effort in, but beyond that, there's no right or wrong, unless you disagree with me :P

Hmm is it my pick next week? I need to pick something that will score lower than The Infinite.

Fantastic read as always. Anyone who doesn't love this book may find their user title changed to Ignorant Newtonrag mysteriously.

During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. In time, the Sixth Gun, the most dangerous of the weapons, vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way.

You'd be better off just downloading CDisplay to read it with, or unzipping it and reading it as jpegs. Much less fannying about.

OK this seems like a fun book.

I like Becky as a main character. The situation she finds herself in this issue is also one that makes for an enjoyable read, caught between Carlyle and the sheriff. Neither man is in a position under which I think Becky can get behind and both are bad news in their own way. Penance, or New Penance, is a place I wouldn't want to live in. Brian Hurtt's artwork does a good job at showing just how freaky the town and the people who live there actually are.

I'll give it a 7 out of 10.

Wow. Not a lot of reviews for this..

Anyway, just read it along with the previous two issues (since I read the book in trade, I had to at least get caught up on the current arc)

Great stuff.

I like that the story has split now, with Becky trying to rescue Sinclair, and with Sinclair trying to stay alive/protect the guns and Becky. As well as the Gord stuff.

It's also nice to get a little breather of the supernatural and find that there's other people after the guns for their own purposes as well. Haven't trusted the Sword of Abraham since they showed up, and the Knights of Solomon are no better. It's pretty clear Bunn is building to a showdown and proving to Becky that no one is trustworthy when it comes to the guns.

This series has been a revelation since it started. I'm not a big western guy at all, but thing overcomes that. Hurtt's great art aside, it's just fun every issue. We're talking about magic guns, and ghosts and zombies and the potential apocalypse.. in the wild west! Great stuff. I want this to be collected in HC format at some point. It's too good not to.

Story: 9
Art: 9

Total: 9
