No.

The source of the PS3 glitches was bethesda's critical misunderstanding of the way the PS3 partitions memory. Or perhaps it was their critical not-giving-a-shit.

I never had this many problems with Fallout, I think Bethesda's QA was far more lax with this game than others.

I would never buy a Bethesda game now until the first patch comes out, it's just not worth it.

WTF are the recommended PC system requirements for Skyrim? I've checked Amazon and Gamespot for them I couldn't find anything. Yes I'm sure Bethesda's website lists them but I wouldn't believe them anyways. I don't think I'm going to risk getting this for the PS3, sounds like a headache waiting to happen and I need to replace the graphics card in my PC anyways so might as well get one powerful enough to run Skyrim

It's a tremendous headache on the PS3.

My latest bug is that I'm trying to get through an Iron Claw door and I have the correct combination and the key, but, no matter where I put my cursor on the door it won't let me activate the key!

Bethesda should be ashamed for releasing this game with this many bugs.

Have you tried the Kingdom of Amalur demo yet?

That's a confirmed glitch on 360 as well. Haven't seen it mentioned for PS3 until now, though. Can't find a fix for it.

Well...at the very least, none of the Dragon Priest masks are vital to the plot. You can find that particular Word in two other locations. It's Aura Whisper. Nice for showing you where enemies are, but it's not vital to get all three Words to the Shout for it to be useful.

Not terribly helpful, but you'll find this game is often a matter of minimizing your losses, you know?

I just don't understand, I had a few problems with Fallout, but, not near to this degree.

The engine seems almost identical, other than a few modifications to the UI. It just doesn't make sense to me.

The irony is that you buying the game validates Bethesda's business model that they don't have to build a quality game to make money off of it. As long as people like yourself exist they'll never change. Why waste millions of dollars making a game function better when they can just release it in shitty condition, pocket those millions of dollars they could have spent on QA and still pocket the money of all the gamers buying it regardless of it's flaws?

Hab, I cannot say for sure about this, which is why I tend not to mention it when we talk about this game here. But I think there are pieces of the game that simply weren't finished in time. There are bits of dialogue and certain mechanics that suggest something wasn't finished.

I mean, there's just so much crammed into this game. Not just...not just storywise, but I mean, goddamned wind patterns. Snowstorms. I don't want to provide excuses for Bethesda, but at the same time, it's not hard to see how they could miss so much with regards to QA.

I got sympathy for that.

Same time, it's like Obsidian putting out KotOR 2. They knew that shit wasn't finished when they put it on the shelf and took your got-damn money for it. And they know we're gonna keep buying broken, unfinished shit, because the shit the do manage to finish is so good.

We lower our standards and they meet them. That's how it happens.

At least the lad issue on PS3 was fixed juat as I was beginning to experience it. They also fixed an annoying issue with weapon racks.

My main problem now is that I'm done with all major questlines except the civil war and now I'm running out of cool stuff to do. I hope they put out an expansion soon.

Did you get all the Daedric items? There are some interesting things to do with that shit.

Well, there's a way around that. If you missed one of the items, there's a...I'm not sure if it's a glitch...but there's a way to get two items in Hircine's quest.

Normally, you can either get the Ring of Hircine or the Savior's Hide in the quest, depending on what you choose to do. But there is a way to get both items. That means you can afford to totally flub or miss one other Deadric item, and still get the Achievement.

But if you succeeded in at least getting the Razor, I think it should still count towards your total...

If you put it in a weapons rack it will disappear.

I think that's one of the things that bothered me most. The game is visually stunning, to the point where it's a major detriment to game play. Those two particular items you just listed just add lag and increase the chances of the game crashing and basically just detract from the overall gaming experience.

I think a number of producers had poor agendas as far as planning this game. Drop a writer or two, I'm not interested in reading about the Wabbajack. I want more effort put into coding, porting, and QA.
